Our veterinarians
Hi, I’m Tierney! I’ve been a veterinarian for small animals since 2017. After working for a number of practices, I became the owner of Dierenkliniek ‘t Harde Ven in 2025. My favourite part of being a vet is that there is so much variety in veterinary medicine. You aren’t only a GP, but also a surgeon, radiologist, dentist and more. My favourite patients are geriatric cats: the older and grumpier, the better!
I was born in the UK and moved to the Netherlands as a child. I’m a native British speaker but am also fluent in Dutch. I currently live in Eindhoven with my husband, daughter and cat. I’m usually at the practice four days a week (Tuesdays to Fridays).
Hi, I’m Gerdien! I’ve been a veterinarian since 1998 and I thoroughly enjoy my work in this amazing profession. The combination of working with animals and people suits me well. I have a wide range of interests, and I particularly enjoy internal medicine.
I’m at the practice on Mondays and Thursdays.
I live in a beautiful area just outside of Eindhoven with my husband, our two sons, our dog Tommy, and our cat Bolleke.

Hello, I am Wendy!
During my training as a veterinary nurse I did an internship at the veterinary practice here in Son en Breugel. After graduating, I had been working at a larger practice when I was asked if I wanted to come back to Dierenkliniek ‘t Harde Ven. This practice suits me better. A smaller practice where the clients and animals are treated with kindness and respect. Every day at the practice still gives me great satisfaction to be able to help clients and their animals.
Hello, I’m Maud!
I graduated in 2015 as a veterinary nurse at the Citaverde College in Horst, and after gaining work experience in another practice I started at ‘t Harde Ven in 2016. I really like the variation of working in a small clinic. Sometimes helping with consultations or speaking to owners on the phone, but I can also be found in the operating room assisting the veterinarian or taking care of patients that are staying with us.
In my spare time I like to do things with my partner and children and I enjoy spending time with family and friends. At home we have two rabbits and five chickens.
Hello, I’m Mijke!
I have been a veterinary nurse since 2004, and I started working at this lovely practice in early 2026. Working here has allowed me to pursue my passion for the profession once again. I really enjoy the variety in the work, the contact with the animals, and certainly with their owners as well.
I live in a small village near Veghel with my husband and two children. We have a dog named Silly and a few chickens. We also enjoy the view of an animal pasture from our kitchen every day. So, both at home and at work, I love being surrounded by animals; it always makes my day just that little bit brighter.
